In order to promote an enterprise culture and saving the Little Village Club in Los Angeles, California undertook its first investment under the program 3 × 1 to generate employment in Zacatecas to support the project for vegetable production cactus that arises in the High Technology Nochistlan in the year 2005 as an initiative of a group of young people with the intention of experiencing the joint between two areas, Industrial Engineering and Computer Systems Engineering and gather both knowledge, ie Industrial Engineering support processes production and in the area of systems engineering knowledge through a program developed that used sensors for measuring moisture in the soil that were able to create favorable conditions for the plant could develop and produce, the idea was to produce as a first step nopalitos tender and market them in bulk by bars and the target market was concentrated in the municipality of Nochistlán in local greengrocers, after being traded cactus in the local market could be detected that the cactus plant began to have a plague that left him no produce properly so they gave the money to be cactus for cattle fodder and eventually the project as they mature the plant itself began to act on two fronts as nopal cactus for vegetables and fodder.

In one hectare there are more than 100 tons of cactus per season and care for this project is not as elaborate as that in the conditions which is the soil of this region makes it profitable enough project that generates income. Currently this project is producing enough product to supply fattening cattle on another project now funded by the 2 × 1 and migrant found in the same locality.
